The Happiest People
The happiest people....
are rarely the richest, the most beautiful, or even the most talented.
Happy people do not depend on excitement and "fun" supplied by externals.
They enjoy the simple things in life.
They waste no time thinking other pastures are greener; they do not yearn for yesterday or tomorrow.
They savor the moment, glad to be alive, enjoying their work, their families, the good things around them.
They are adaptable; they can bend with the wind, adjust to the changes in their times, employ the contests of life, and feel themselves in harmony with the world.
Their eyes are turned outward, they are aware, compassionate.. They have the capacity to love.

Are You Believing Lies About God?
Our approach to God is conditioned by our concept of
Him, whether accurate or distorted. ~Graham Kendrick
Most Christians would agree that God is loving, forgiving, caring and always with us. Yet, when it comes to our personal, intimate relationship with Him, our concept of God can be quite different. We may have a hard time believing He is willing to forgive us when we hard done something really bad. Or, we may think He has abandoned us when we feel alone. We might even envision God as being mean and rejecting, or hard to please. All of these are lies about God.
So, why would anyone believe lies about God? There are many different reasons our understanding and perception of God can be distorted. We may have been told from a very young age that God is out to get us if we get out of line. Or, we may have had a hard-to-please parent and naturally project this image onto our heavenly Father. For some of us, our intellect gets in the way. We just cannot seem to believe that God cares about every detail of our lives. It does not make sense; therefore, it probably is not likely. Or, problems in accepting, forgiving and loving ourselves can make it extremely difficult to receive God’s love or believe that He could possibly love us.
Our life experiences and deep-seated emotions all contribute to our belief system. We may know in our hearts the truths about God and His character, yet we consciously or unconsciously believe lies about Him. When the lies are dispelled in the light of the Truth of His Word, our lives change dramatically. We draw closer to our Heavenly Father. We know we are loved, accepted, secure and significant in Him. It is the more remarkable experience in the Christian’s life aside from salvation.
A believer who knows who they are in Christ and the truth about who God is, is empowered to live the abundant life Jesus died to give us. The truth dispels all darkness. The truth sets the captive free. The truth brings healing, peace of mind, and empowers the Christian to live in victory every single day. The lies about God and the believer are all dispelled by the Truth of God’s word. May every believer grow in the knowledge, understanding, and acceptance of the Truth that makes us free!

Hello My Name is...
People will
label you not good enough. God labels you strong, talented, valuable, more than
a conqueror. Make sure that you're wearing the right labels. ~Joel Osteen
Some people define themselves by their past mistakes. Regret, defeat, guilt and shame do not have to define us. We can stop believing the lies about ourselves. If we know who we are in Christ, we are changed and set free. This song, by Matthew West, is inspiring and a great reminder that we are loved by God and we are who He says we are in Christ. May it bless you!

"Hello, My Name Is" by Matthew West
Hello, my name is regret
I’m pretty sure we have met
Every single day of your life
I’m the whisper inside
That won’t let you forget
Hello, my name is defeat
I know you recognize me
Just when you think you can win
I’ll drag you right back down again
‘Til you’ve lost all belief
Oh, these are the voices. Oh, these are the lies
And I have believed them for the very last time
Hello, my name is child of the one true King
I’ve been saved, I’ve been changed, I have been set free
"Amazing Grace" is the song I sing
Hello, my name is child of the one true King
Whoa oh ah oh ah oh oh
I am no longer defined
By all the wreckage behind
The one who makes all things new
Has proven it’s true
Just take a look at my life
Hello, my name is child of the one true King
I've been saved, I've been changed, I have been set free
"Amazing Grace" is the song I sing
Hello, my name is child of the one true King
What love the Father has lavished upon us that we should be called His children
I am a child of the one true King
What love the Father has lavished upon us that we should be called His children
Hello, my name is child of the one true King
I've been saved, I've been changed, I have been set free

The Power of Habit and the Neglected Vineyard
Cultivate only the habits that you are willing should master you. ~Elbert Hubbard
I love the book of Proverbs. It is filled with life lessons and words of wisdom to live by. Today as I was reading, I came across a passage about the lazy person. I stopped and reflected on its powerful message about the power of habit and how it can change your life if you will learn from it and apply it to your life.
Here it is: I walked by the field of a lazy person, the vineyard of one with no common sense. I saw that it was overgrown with nettles. It was covered with weeds, and its walls were broken down. Then, as I looked and thought about it, I learned this lesson: A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, and a little folding of the hands to rest—then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber. (Proverbs 24:30-34)
First, we read that somebody was walking. We do not know where this person was going or where he came from, but we do know that he was observing the scenery along the way. A neglected vineyard immediately got his attention. There was nobody out working and caring for it, and obviously nobody had for some time. Its walls were broken down and it was overgrown with weeds and thorns. The unsightly image taught this man a great lesson about work and applying yourself. For whatever reason, the owner did not put in the work needed to take good care of his property.
This made me think about forming and maintain healthy habits. If we take care of the vineyards of our minds and bodies, we will have good results. But if we neglect them, our fields with be overgrown with unwanted consequences. Our health, relationships, work and overall well-being are all affected by the power of habit.
I love this quote: People do not decide their futures, they decide their habits and their habits decide their futures. ~ FM Alexander
We can all decide to do our part in establishing healthy habits for life. To find out how, check out: 21 Power Habits for a Winning Life (Volumes 1 and 2). Each chapter has a power habit with tips on how to apply and practice the habit. Each habit will empower you to be fruitful and live a winning life!
Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. – Vince Lombardi

The Power of Habit: 7 Easy Steps to a New Habit
We first make our habits, and then our habits make
us.
~ John Dryden
It is easy to form a bad habit, but not so easy to break a bad habit. A good habit, on the other hand, may take more time to form, but good or healthy habits have many benefits. They make life more enjoyable, successful and fulfilling! But they do not happen without some effort on our part. Forming healthy habits takes a decision and some practice.
Following are 7 easy steps on how to form new, healthy habits:
1. Decide on the habit you want to develop.
2. Ask yourself: What are the benefits of this new habit?
3. Set goals you want to achieve. Start with small steps.
4. Focus on consistency rather than performance.
5. Find someone to hold you accountable (a friend, family member, counselor) who can remind you of your goals and help to get you back on track if your veer off.
6. Reward yourself.
7. Stay committed. Persist in the face of setbacks. Get help if necessary. And never ever give up!

Who You Are In Christ
Every believer should stand tall with high self-esteem by understanding who he or she is in Christ. ~ Archibald Hart
Do you know who you are in Christ? As a child of God, you have a new identity. In Christ, you are an overcomer. You no longer have to live in defeat. In Christ, you are courageous. Fear does not have to control you. In Christ, you are blessed, successful and full of hope and purpose.
Taking time every day to reaffirm what God says about you is life changing! In the Christian devotional, In Christ, I Am: God's Promises on Who You Are in Christ that Will Transform You from the Inside Out you will discover over 150 truths from the Bible about your identity in Christ. Christian devotions is the key to building upon a solid foundation of God’s Word and putting it into practice. You are who God says you are. You can have what God says you can have. And, you can do what God says you can do!
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! ~ 1 Corinthians 5:7
Following is an excerpt from the Christian Devotional, In Christ, I am….
I am carefree; I am anxious for nothing
Lord, when doubt fills my mind, when my heart is in turmoil, quiet me and give me renewed hope and cheer. (Psalm 94:19, TLB) I cast the whole of my care (all my anxieties, all my worries, all my concerns, once and for all) on You, for You care for me affectionately and care about me watchfully. (1 Peter 5:7, Amplified) I don’t worry about anything, but I pray about everything. With a thankful heart I offer up my prayers and requests to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, guards my heart and mind through Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:6-7, CEV, NKJV)
God’s Word has the power to transform your life. Once you truly understand who you are in Christ, you will live the victorious, abundant life that Jesus died to give to you. ~Krystal Kuehn

Money will buy you a house, but it won't buy you a home.

Love Life For All That It Is
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is bliss, taste it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

My Heart’s Longing – A Song in Loving Memory of Mariche’
Whenever I feel strongly about something, it is natural for me to express myself in writing. Whether it is an article, letter, or song, I am able to communicate my pain or joy and release my feelings. It is very therapeutic and liberating. However, in the past couple of months I was able to do none of these. It is not like me to be lost for words, but I found myself unable to write about the loss of my cousin Mariche’ who passed away a couple months earlier. She lost her life at the young age of 40.
For YouTube Video of My Heart's Longing, click here.Copyright © 2012 Krystal Kuehn
How do you express the pain of unanswered prayers for her healing? The injustice of life and the suffering people must endure? The loss her children, husband, and other family members must now live with. Or the anguish of her parents, my aunt and uncle, are experiencing having outlived their youngest daughter? There really are no words, just tears, pain, and frustration until acceptance and peace come.
Words could not express what I was feeling or thinking. They would not come and neither would a song or melody. Then finally all the feelings and thoughts from deep within my heart emerged. A reflective, intensely emotional mood could be heard and felt in a new song. I would name it My Heart’s Longing to accurately describe my experience.
A longing is a strong desire, a yearning. So what is the strong desire so deep within my heart? What is my heart longing for? I suppose it is many things that have gone through my heart and soul since the loss of my cousin. I long for peace amidst life’s tragedies. I strongly desire to trust God no matter how unfair life can be. I want to accept things I cannot understand without always having to ask, “Why?” I long for strength even when pain seems unbearable. I long to embrace love that lasts forever, is eternal, and never let it go. I long for the inner assurance that we will meet our loved ones in God’s time and in His glorious presence. I long to grow and heal as I grieve and process the loss of my cousin. I desire to let go of what could have been and look forward to what is and can be. Ultimately, I believe all my heart’s longings will be met by my God. And I thank Him for this song that has helped me to express my many intense emotions and longings through this difficult journey. It is my hope and prayer that it blesses you as well.
With all my heart, Krystal
In Loving Memory of my cousin Mariche’ Pecijareska
I humbly dedicate this song, My Heart's Longing, to my cousin Mariche’. My love for her is the inspiration behind it. She is in my heart and always will be. It's hard to understand why we lost her so soon, but we believe that all the longings of her heart are fully met in our Heavenly Father. In His very presence, she knows peace, love is fully realized, all her hopes are fulfilled, all her tears are wiped away, and her only longing is to forever worship the Lover of her soul, the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come!
Mariche's beautiful daugher Evanjelica. She shares many wonderful qualities of her mother - very caring, kind, intelligent, creative.
Mariche' with her handsome son Hristijan. He is a college student in Skopje. Mariche was always so proud of him. He is growing to be a wonderful young man - a true leader, highly intelligent and ambitious like his mother!

When It Looks Like There's No Way Out
Sometimes it looks like things cannot get much worse. We may not be able to see how anything could possibly turn around. The world feels like it is crashing in on us from every side.
A man I know, I will call him Brad, hit rock bottom a little while ago. He lost his job of over ten years and with it his means to provide financially for his family. People all around his neighborhood were losing their employment and many lost their homes. Times were tough. Businesses were shutting down. Jobs were scarce and no one was hiring.
He remembers the day vividly. It happened to so many others in his firm. He was called in by the big boss. Two security guards were in the room waiting. Brad knew it was now his turn. His co-workers and friends were causalities that went before him. He was handed his pink slip and escorted out the door. Heartless, cold, and cruel, they would not respond to his pleas or questions. He was given no mercy, answers, or words of sympathy.
Brad's life would never be the same unless he was able to make a speedy transition into another job. But that did not happen for several years. Brad hit bottom. He was unemployed, his marriage was on the edge, his mood was unstable, and his children were acting out. He did not know where to turn or who could help him. To make the long story short, Brad turned to the only one he knew and believed could make a way for him where there seemed to be no way. He prayed and sought God fervently and daily. Today, he has his own business that is prospering and growing. For the first time in his life, he loves what he is doing. He and his wife have grown closer as they worked through the most difficult time in their lives and marriage. His children have developed a greater respect for him as they watched him persist and believe for a better tomorrow.
Brad's story is not unlike that of many others. Job losses, financial stress, marriage problems, health issues, addictions can all look like mountains that cannot be conquered. But what makes Brad's story encouraging and inspiring is that Brad did not lose hope. He persisted and believed things could and would get better. He did not give up. He turns to God and relies on Him as his source and strength. And that is what inspired the song I wrote, He Will Make a Way. I pray that it blesses you and encourages you to keep believing - no mountain is too insurmountable, no road is too difficult, no enemy is too strong, and no problem is too big that you cannot overcome. Believe that He will make a way for you and it may be better than you could ever have imagined. Don't give up. Keep believing and trusting!!

When we face obstacles, it may feel like we are facing a mountain with no way of ever making it to the other side. Or when we hit a dead end road, we may feel confused and frustrated because we do not know where we are going to go next. No matter how difficult things are or how unsure of our future looks, we can be assured that God is on our side. He knows our needs and he has a plan for our lives. No mountain is too big to block his purposes or provision and no dead-end road can end or thwart his perfect plans for our lives. He will make a way!!

The Power of Habit
At the Words of Inspiration Blog, we believe that we can be our best and live a lifestyle of health, happiness, and love by the choices we make and the habits we develop and practice.
Practicing healthy habits such as gratitude, hopeful and positive thinking, exercise and good nutrition lead to healthy, happy and successful lives. May these words inspire and motivate you to change some bad habits and develop good habits for life!
THE POWER OF HABIT
I am your constant companion. I am your greatest helper or your heaviest burden. I will push you onward or drag you down to failure.
I am completely at your command.
Half the things you do you might as well turn over to me,
And I will be able to do them quickly and correctly.
I am easily managed; you must merely be firm with me.
Show me exactly how you want something done,
And after a few lessons I will do it automatically.
I am the servant of all great individuals
And, alas, of all failures as well.
Those who are great I have made great
Those who are failures I have made failures.
I am not a machine,
Though I work with all the precision of a machine
Plus the intelligence of a human being. You may run me for profit or run me for ruin; It makes no difference to me. Take me, train me, be firm with me, And I will put the world at your feet Be easy with me, and I will destroy you.
Who am I?
I am habit! ~author unknown
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit. ~Aristotle
Things do not change. We change. ~Henry David Thoreau
Hard work is a two-way street. You get back exactly what you put in. ~Unknown
We must train from the inside out. Using our strengths to attack and nullify any weaknesses. It’s not about denying a weakness may exist but about denying its right to persist. ~Vince McConnell

A New Year and A New You
Did you make any New Year's Resolutions?
Most of us like to start the new year with hopes and plans for a good year. The past is behind us and we carry over the blessings, memories, and lessons it has taught us. But today is a new day, a new year, and we can start fresh. We can have new beginnings and set new goals.
What would you like to be different this coming year? Maybe you want to get in better shape, lose some weight, get out of debt, break bad habits and begin healthy ones, heal and restore a marriage, build new relationships, improve some skills, donate your time and/or finances, contribute to the community, make a positive difference in other's lives, and the list goes on.
Research shows that most New Year's resolutions are not kept for very long. We have good intentions and maybe start out with determination and confidence, but soon after our enthusiasm dies out. Oftentimes our resolutions are more challenging than we had expected. Maybe this year we can approach the new year with just one goal that will help us to meet all the others: to live a more positive and grateful life. A postiive and grateful life helps us to stay strong in our faith, persist, dream, set goals, love others and treat them with kindness and respect. Real fulfillment and joy can be ours this year as we commit to being our best.
Make this the best year yet by being the best you can be. It starts with you - your thinking, your attitude, your love walk, you faith, your perpective, your commitment, your persistence, your choices. We don't know what this new year will bring, but we can resolve to make the best of this year as we make the best of ourselves.
God bless you and may this year be your best ever!

I think in terms of the day's resolutions, not the year's. ~Henry Moore

How Background Music Enhances Media Projects
Whether you are watching a movie, riding in an elevator, listening to a commercial on the radio, or simply shopping, you will find that there is always some kind of background music playing. You may not even be aware of it, but it is there and it sets a mood. In a movie, it becomes a part of your experience. You grip your seat as you feel the tension building. The excitement makes your heart race. You feel the sadness and are moved to tears. In an elevator, background music may comfort and soothe you, or it may help you to relax and slow down a little. When background music is playing during a commercial on the radio or television, you may be more inclined to pay attention to the advertisement. You may even find the ad more appealing. All along, it is the background music that is influencing how you hear, feel, see and experience an event.
You shop for clothing or groceries and the background music often sets the pace. Studies have found that consumers are more likely to take their time shopping when the background music is at a slower, more even tempo, and they are likely to feel more rushed and hurried when the background music is at a faster tempo.
We may not ever really think about it and how it influences us, but background music is all around us. We hear it every day whether at work or home. It affects our experience and has a subtle influence on how we feel, think, or act. Today there are countless opportunities for us to use background music in our media projects. It adds another dimension to anything we do from our own home videos to web sites. The possibilities are endless for us to take advantage of this remarkable way of adding life and energy to all of our media projects!

How Background Music Enhances Media Projects by Krystal Kuehn
It occurred to me by intuition, and music was the driving force behind that intuition. My discovery was the result of musical perception. (When asked about his theory of relativity) ~Albert Einstein
Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosphy. Music is the electrical soil in which the spirit lives, thinks and invents. ~ Ludwig van Beethoven
Joy, sorrow, tears, lamentation, laughter — to all these music gives voice, but in such a way that we are transported from the world of unrest to a world of peace, and see reality in a new way, as if we were sitting by a mountain lake and contemplating hills and woods and clouds in the tranquil and fathomless water. ~Albert Schweitzer
Where words fail, music speaks. ~Hans Christian Anderson
